Getting a rowing machine for your home gym is probably one of the best ways to bring variety and a “fun-factor” to your daily cardio workout. However, how much money you might expect to invest in your new machine really depends on the result you’re looking forward to get out of your new fitness machine.
Here in this article we discuss what kind of rowing machine suits you best and what you can expect to pay for the right machine.
You’re Looking for a Quick Daily Workout
If you’re just looking to add a little bit of exercise in your daily routine then Stamina has a great line of rowing machines for you.
The cheapest option you can go for is the Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine. However, if you’re willing to spend a little more then I would highly recommend the Stamina Air Rower.
These two machines are pretty much all you need for a daily 15-20 minute workout which can help you lose that last 10 pounds.
You’re Serious about Body Building
If you’re someone like me who really cares what he sees in the mirror and fitness is more about improving your strength, endurance and stamina then you need something more heavy-duty and professional.
If you’re looking for the high-end one’s then Concept2’s Model D is definitely the ultimate machine. However, being priced at a premium, it’s not something that everyone can afford to buy, irrespective of how much you’d want one.
And that’s why my alternate recommendation would be the Stamina Avari that is a really powerful machine but comes at a much more affordable price tag.
You’re Training for a Competition
If you’re training for a competition then you definitely need the big guns and at this point, price tag shouldn’t be an issue since you’re investing in a tool that will help you achieve a long term goal and anything but the best could keep you from achieving it.
And since you’re one of them, then my top recommendation would be the Concept2 Model E, which is an upgrade to the Model D. There’s just a small price difference but it’s definitely worth the upgrades and perks of getting the Model E.
Other Factors
There are two other factors that might vary the amount of money you end up paying for your rowing machine.
Shipping Cost
Depending on where you buy your rowing machine, the cost of getting it shipped to your place can vary dramatically.
I generally recommend Amazon as our primary marketplace as it covers everything from shipping to repairs to replacements at no-extra cost.
Now, you might also want to consider getting a used rowing machine and that might work out if you do your due diligence right. However, I’d suggest you to go that way ONLY if you fit into the first category and do not care about any lack in performance due to the wear and tear of the machine.
